Custom Crates for Commercial Glass Manufacturer

A custom glass manufacturer was relying on their in house team to build wood crates for their custom glass. As a subcontractor to large commercial real estate projects, on time delivery and tight schedules creates a logistical challenge when shipping custom glass. Building crates in house proved to be costly and created logistical bottle necks to making on time deliveries. This customer came to Arrow with a need to order several unique crates designed for the their custom glass on a weekly basis. Arrow developed a simple ordering procedure that allows their team to request various crates each week built to the specs they need and Arrow delivers to two of their facilities on a weekly basis, allowing them the ability to go straight from production of their product to shipment to their customer. They no longer have a need to staff an in house team to build crates or warehouse lumber and plywood material. More importantly, the wood crates they use for shipment arrive Just in Time (JIT) for their shipments to their customers across the country.
