An international manufacturer of structural pipes and pipe components for offshore Wind and Offshore Oil & Gas had a need for cargo management for the breakdown of an offshore windmill manufacturing facility. Arrow acted as project manager to package the customer’s overhead cranes and equipment like welders, electrical panels, offices and paint booths. Arrow executed an on-site build of large custom heavy-duty skids, support bases and cribbing layout for two large industrial overhead cranes along with securing the crane sections and equipment to the bases and skids using heavy duty anchors and straps. Most of the shipment was shrink wrapped and included desiccants and installing zipper hatches for access to the cranes. Arrow worked closely with their team headquartered in South Korea throughout the process and project managed the entire shipment from a US location to Europe. Arrow worked with their international freight forwarder to make sure the packaging complied with all international shipping requirements.

Equipment was anchored with heavy-duty straps, shrink-wrapped with advanced desiccant systems for ocean transit, and outfitted with custom zipper hatches for crane inspection access. We coordinated directly with the client’s global headquarters and international freight forwarders to ensure full compliance with all international shipping requirements.
